New Project 2003
Part 1

The new project is home (11/03). It's another 1971 Monte Carlo but this one is unique! It's an original 402 big block, 4 speed car, one of only 269 made. I'm the 2nd owner and the car is all original. Never painted and nothing has been changed. The original owner kept track of everything including EVERYTIME he put gas in the car.

It's 95% rust free. Other options include, bucket seats, console, gauge package, AM/FM 8 track stereo, optional lighting, A/C, a 12 bolt with 3:31 gears, and rally wheels. Plans are for a full blown frame off restoration but I am going to take some liberties that shouldn't hurt it's value.

Although the interior is clean, it does need to be redone. Therefore, I'm going to change it to black and add some options, such as power windows and locks. I have complete factory set-ups and they will be installed just like the factory would have.

The engine has 157K miles on it, so while the car is apart I'm going to rebuild it. I plan on some upgrades but it will still look stock.

If you've followed this site and the build on this car, your probably asking yourself "what happened with this car". Well, I was at a car show and someone made an offer I couldn't refuse so I sold it. Hence, the new project. Just when I thought I was done, here I go again.
