Monte Carlo Restoration Part 7

Recent shot of the engine with new air cleaner and lid.

Under hood complete. The hood insulation has been trimmed to fit around the air box.

Console, rug, dash and kick panels installed (steering wheel is being replaced by a billet piece). Shifter plate has been modified for the Hurst shifter.

Headliner installed. Note the billet coat hooks. I purchased the headliner off e-bay for $89 (even with custom color). Installing a headliner is hard and takes a lot of stretching in order to get it right.

Front headliner. Note the mirror, I eliminated the factory hanging mirror for a glue on billet mirror. Dome light is from an 87 Monte.

Front bumper on the car. I'm waiting for the rear from the plater. I've also installed all the glass since this picture.

I hope to be finished for Super Chevy in PA. for 2003. It's going to be close.
